Our Most Frequently Asked Questions
The 2025–2026 season starts on the first Sunday in December and wraps up on the last Sunday in February.
All games are played on Sundays only.
Games are scheduled at three possible times each week:
9:00 AM, 10:10 AM, 11:20 AM
No, there are no practices. Games are the only scheduled weekly activity.
Each game runs for approximately 55 minutes.
Yes! We make sure siblings play on the same team so families only need to attend one game each week.
Before the season starts, there is an Assessment Day where each player is evaluated and placed into Line 1, Line 2, or Line 3 based on skill level. This helps keep games fair and competitive.
Yes! We wrap up the season with a banquet that includes pizza, drinks, awards, and trophies/medals for all players.
The league is organized and operated by parent volunteers. If you’d like to help out, we’d love to hear from you.
Players are required to bring their own full set of hockey gear, not limited to: helmet, gloves, stick, pads, neck guard, and skates. A full list of required equipment will be shared after registration. We do have a small equipment swap at the beginning of the season.
All games are held at West Deane Park / Martingrove – Outdoor Ice Rink at 400 Martin Grove Rd. Etobicoke, ON
Yes, each player receives a team jersey which should be returned to the league, laundered, at the conclusion of the banquet.
If a game is canceled due to unsafe weather conditions, we’ll do our best to reschedule. Updates will be sent via group chats to all registered families.
Absolutely! Parents, friends, and family are encouraged to attend and cheer from the sidelines.
That’s totally fine! The league is designed to support all skill levels, and our Line 1 is perfect for beginners just getting started. Your child should be able to skate on their own.
